American Idol's Paul McDonald Visits The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

The latest contestant eliminated from American Idol Season 10 was the man who's smile lit up the stage, Paul McDonald. After being voted off Idol Thursday night, he made the rounds of interviews Friday morning, and stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for a chat that night.

Paul and Jay Leno discussed Paul's premonition. Paul had a feeling he'd be voted off this week. In a very quick interview, they discussed Paul's teeth and his girlfriend Nikki Reed of Twilight movie fame. Paul then headed over to sing with Ricky Minor and the band. Paul performed all his songs from American Idol's Top 12 - Top 8 Week's Shows, performing as the Tonight Show faded out to commercial break and back. Paul sang Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues", Rod Stewart's "Maggie Mae", Elton John's "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues", Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" and Smokey Robinson's "The Tracks of My Tears".

You don't have to wait until this summer's American Idol LIVE Tour to hear Paul McDonald again! Get Paul's 2 pre-American Idol albums, by his bands The Grand Magnolias and The Hightide Blues!
