American Idol's Gorgeous PIA TOSCANO Performs "Where Do Broken Hearts Go"

Pia Toscano, American Idol Season 10 favorite Pia Toscano performs Whitney Houston's "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" on the Top 12 show. Idol contestants got to choose any song from their birth year. Pia was born October 14th, 1988, and became a little Diva, ("I just thought I was a little super-star," says Pia) singing Whitney Houston at a very young age.

Looking gorgeous, Pia gave another super-star performance. She changed up Whitney's classic, speeding up the tempo, making it almost disco. It doesn't matter what she sings - she can belt it out. Another crowd-pleaser from Pia. Judge Steven Tyler praised, "You are why this show is called American Idol! You took that song over the top. And you nailed it." A smiling and thrilled Jennifer Lopez raved, "I was so glad to hear you do something up-tempo! It was perfect for you. You're perfect every time you get up there." Randy Jackson loved it too. "Every week you're producing amazing vocals. Pia is in the competition to win it! Where you all at? Pia's trying to win this."

"Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is the fourth single from Whitney Houston's second album, Whitney. The ballad was released in February 1988. The song was written by Frank Wildhorn and Chuck Jackson. Wildhorn approached Jackson about the opportunity to write for Whitney Houston. He gave him the title, and Wildhorn completed the music & lyrics for the song.

Initially, Houston did not want to record the song, feeling there was no special message to convey. However, Arista Records CEO Clive Davis believed the song would go to number one if she recorded it, so she agreed. The single became Houston's seventh consecutive number one.
